My Name is Wendy Frie and I am
28 years old. I always kite in Scheveningen which
is situated in the west of the Netherlands. Big sandy
beaches and great waves. Sometimes I go to different
spots like Oostvoorne and Brouwersdam and Zeeland,
mostly to help girls who get into kiting and for Kitechicks
weekends. I kite as often as possible and wanna learn
so many things! I am not a fast learner but very motivated
and very enthusiastic!!! I am better at motivating
other people and coaching people so I help Petra Goschl
whenever I can with competitions and I am proud to
be the KiteChicks team manager!
My goals for next year are to get
more involved into the team manager work, to motivate
people enhancing their results and getting the best
out of them, still to kite often and to enjoy it to
the max. And talk to other people about it, write
about it and do my PR. Personally I decided never
to go for a job at the office again, that’s
not me. I found that out through a burn out but I
am back now!!! Happier than ever!
Holland has many good spots, as well
on the sea as on lakes. It is not always windy though.
This depends on depressions or on seebreazes in summer.
Competitions in Holland are the Dutch championships,
the Funsport tour, one international comp last year
but there were too less international competitors
and Red Bull Fly to the king of the air.
I like the brand and the clothes
and the philosophy. It’s not a men’s sport
at all!!! Girls are very cool on the water. I like
the events you organized in cabarete and Greece, although
I weren’t there, it looked very cool! I’ve
been doing that in Holland since 2002 because it’s
good fun to go kiting with girls only! No stress and
no being cool, but good fun and supporting each other.
Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!! I
think it really courageous from you to start a brand
by yourself, designing a clothing line, producing
it and starting up a team, really cool!!!! I really
hope we can make KC grow even more this year! And
I will help you with that.
