Petra is our Managing Director but this is not just a name. Petra is the impersonification of the Kite Chicks brand vision and an insipring leader and role model for all of us. She travels all around the world to build girls kiteboard communities to get more women into the sport. She supports a selective group of team riders who share this vision. She kicks ass and looks good. And the best part: she is out there looking after your best interest, too! If you dare to kick ass, she can make you look good!

On a more personal note (how she got where she is today): Petra was born in a small village in the South of Germany called Isny im Allgaeu. She has been a sporty person all her life, excelling in downhill skiing winning lots of medals, but losing her heart when she strapped on a snowboard. In making a living from boardsports, she got on the kiteboard bandwagon without hesitation the minute this exciting new sport grabbed her attention. She was one of the pioneers, working for one of the first really big kite brands in Italy, Maui and Hong Kong. During this job, she found that there really was too little attention for the female boarder needs out there and wanted to make a change. So she dedicated her life to the Kite Chicks lifestyle.
