Aloha…it´s me….Ilona!

I´m Ilona, 37 years old, from Gemany.
I started kiteboarding five years ago in spring 2000.

Until now I have only been doing national kitesurf competitions. In 2003 I started competing and I made it to the 5th place. In 2004 I became 3rd in Warnemünde in the best trick contest and 2nd in Klittmöller during the German Fly to the Red Bull King of the Air contest.

My favourite places for kiting in Germany are Saal and Born (Darss). I also like Fehrman a lot, where you will meet the Kite Cicks team this year in April!

This year I will take part in all the competitions that take place in Germany. I am also going to help newcomers for the kitesurf-trophy together with Birgit. We are the spokeswomen for the female Kite Surf Trophy competitors this year. Besides this Birgit and I are going to do the CHICA girls camp powered by Kite Chicks, which will take place from the 22nd of April till April 24th in Fehmarn.

I find it so much fun doing this great sport of kiteboarding and I want to help to improve the security and the image of the sport.

I am really happy to be a part of the Kite Chicks team. I think that Kite Chicks supports girls with their sport and helps them to be successful as well as having fun in what they’re doing. For me Kite Chicks also represents a special kind of lifestyle – the lifestyle of kiteboarding.
