In summer I live in the
north of Germany. The summer is pretty good over there;
warm and windy almost every day. In winter I travel
to different spots around the world.
Kiting is my life.
I am always looking for new moves and tricks to learn.
I enjoy life and kiting in the sun, relaxing and reading.
I love my doggy, Chica, who I found 8 years ago on the
beach in Tarifa. When travelling I learned Spanish and
English and when I travel I like to live with resident
people to see how they live. I can´t go anywhere
without my laptop though, because friendships are really
important to me. Life without friends is nothing!
It´s more fun to go kiting with
other women and I am happy that more and more women
do it these days. Kiteboarding has nothing to do with
strength, it´s just about getting feeling with
the kite. Girls look after each other, help each other
to learn new tricks and after kiting we chat and laugh
a lot, and not always about kiteboarding! We don´t
compete against each other, are not jealous or have
to be the best like boys always wanna be, we´re
just friends who have a lot of fun. I really enjoy kiting
with other girls. Hopefully in the next years we will
see more and more girls on the water!
Last year I was competing in the German
tour and ended up third. I also ended up third at the
German championships. This year I will do the German
tour again and I might also join some international
competitions. I also organize a trophy-kitesurfcamp
for girls together with my friend Ilona to get more
girls in competitions. And probably other camps will
follow. It won´t be sponsored events, more something
like arranging a date and place to meet and kite together,
no matter what your level is. You will find more information

As I hardly wear wetsuits (I don´t
like them), I need nice clothes for kiteboarding and
I really love the clothes from Kitechicks! They look
cool and are very functional and the quality is lovely.
These are the first clothes made especially for kiteboarding
and the first time you use them you immediately notice
that. They just fit perfect and you don´t have
to have the size of a model to be able to wear them.
I am so happy that there is now someone who thinks also
of the girls with normal sizes. It was such a frustration
to think: ´everybody fits in except me´.
Now I know that wasn´t me, but the companies who
did wrong. I really hope that Kitechicks will make every
woman feel as good as I do.
My motto in life is: Don´t dream
your life but live your dreams! And that´s what
I actually do. My favourite trick is the 720 kiteloop
but for me it´not important to be the best on
the water. Want I want on the water is: TO BE HAPPY!
It doesn´t matter what level you´ve got,
just enjoy the time on the water and with your friends. |
